Why do some people hate frameworks?

I agree that a framework is something which calls you, and that a library is something that you call. But I don't get the hate. Isn't it true that a good framework can actually speed up the development process?

Guess what? A lot of people have ideas they want to implement and frameworks might just be their starting points.

Yeah they may not be written very well or just be full of bad code. I guess that's a distinction their users get to decide over time and not certain petty generalizations like this one. Stop hating frameworks in general because you didn't like one. Maybe everyone doesn't want to learn and master HTML, CSS or JavaScript from scratch before they can start writing an application.
