What are the best (free) databases for 2018?

Until now I primarily used a combination of MongoDB and MSSQL/PostgreSQL. Recently I read something about ArangoDB and it sounds very interesting.

So to become better in 2018 can you recommend me worthy databases for general use cases? Should I replace MongoDB with ArangoDB in future projects? What additional Databases should I add to the mix?
