My journey so far has not been easy. Coding is fun and hard but their are a number of different platforms to achieve your goal. If your fortunate to attend a Bootcamp and can afford it thats great. For those who can not attend due to busy schedules etc its not the end. Youtube has a huge amount of resource. Also freecodecamp.org and codecademy.com are among the most popular at the moment. I personally prefer freecodecamp its got challenges and you also get certificates that you can add to your resume. Teamtreehouse is also a must for anyone new to coding. The structor behind teamtreehouse will make anyone learn with their easy to use interface. They even offer a free 7 day trial. you do have to pay but its only 25 a month and it beats paying your traditional bootcamp fee that typically ranges over 1,000. Look at reviews about other online sites before you commit, for instance flatiron.com offers "free online bootcamp" but i urge you to stay away. that is simply reading with no actual coding involved. You can also get Colt Steele online Bootcamp for a fraction of the cost using Udemy.com also another great resource. skillshare also offers 1 month or 2 months free depending on when you sign up.
