VPN means Virtual Private Network. As the name says creating a private network over the public internet and thus safeguarding you from outsider or intruders. Example: Let's suppose you are trying to access your office Server which is on internet but you wanted to make sure that connection remain secure over internet. So your company would have provided you with certain VPN softwares(ciscoAnyConnect) to where you enter Pin and thereby after authentication, access the VPN and via VPN the server. So this protects You as well company's privacy from public internet.

Have you ever wondered why VPN take time to get connected to internet?? Generally as soon as you switch on your Wifi , you get internet access and you are Wandering on Open internet but With VPN it finds the Gateway to Nearby VPN provider and then through which you get IP assigned which is not actual IP but just random IP hiding your originality. It's a shared structure via a VPN.

One Major form of VPN is IPSEC VPN from SP( service provider end). IPSEC as name says securing your IP header packet and thus encapsulating and encrypt. IPSEC is Major VPN that ISP like airtel, reliance etc Implement on their network when providing services to its customer and its implemented over last mile. Next time let's discuss in detail about this VPN .

Thanks all.
