Given Task : Using any product as a case study, take it through the design thinking process, improve the product with a new user flow and wireframe .

My team and I were given this task. Our team is made up of ten members who are all Product Managers. This is our first project in the bootcamp.

Time Frame A week.

After brainstorming and recommending apps we could improve on,my team and I decided to work on Eden Life app.

Brief introduction about the app: Eden Life is an app that offers domestic services. These services include; Food delivery, laundry and cleaning. You are made to pick what service you need and go ahead to make payments for the plan you want.

Aim of the project The aim of this project was to improve the app, making the app easier for users to navigate and attractive enough to draw users' interest.

Stages involved in improving the app • Research • Defining the problem • Ideating • Prototyping • Testing

Day 1

Research When we were done with going through the app,we carried out user research using google forms so that we could figure out the problems with the app. This is the link to the google form ; forms.gle/UcN1TkRtVE5XtkgG7 User research delves into the user by creating user stories and describing the user journey as well as the app's needs. Quantitative user research was carried out. This is the link to the user research docs.google.com/presentation/d/1dptwdLkEc_…

Day 2

Defining the problem After finding out the problems associated with the app thanks to our research, we moved on to putting down those problems on our board. With the help of MIRO, we were able to write down the problems. This was so we could pick out the specific problems we wanted to work on and focus on solving them.

Day 3

Ideating The next step we took after knowing the problems to resolve was to create our user story and acceptance criteria. The User Story is a short description of what the user wants to do in a product. A set of predefined requirement that must be met for a user story to be complete is known as Acceptance Criteria. This is the link to the user story and acceptance criteria drive; docs.google.com/presentation/d/1WabEUDntLT…

Day 4

Prototyping At this stage, all we did was to represent our ideas visually.

Day 5

Wireframe We did the prototyping by sketching with Pencil and Paper. After that,we used a wireframing software- Figma, to lay out the content and functionalities of the page/screen. The link to the wireframe; figma.com/file/h9NszgBiyV59a0b88PEjlf/Port…

User Flow The user flow is the path taken by a user to complete the tasks on an app. Basically, there are diagrams that display the complete path taken by a user when using a product. In our case study,we made use of the user flow which is a combination of both wireframes and shapes The link to the user flow; whimsical.com/eden-life-user-flow-23d4EhKb…

So, these are all the steps we took to improve the Eden Life app. From brainstorming, to user flow, we carried out our work after considering the fact that we are to modify and not change the app's design.

We are open to suggestions and ideas so we can improve and better ourselves. Thank you!
