Nintendo Switch games news: Big plans ahead that could make up for SNES Classic shortage

The Nintendo Switch remains the main focus for the Japanese games giant, who are looking strengthen their new console with a lineup of new titles.

Some of those were shown off during E3 2017 and are likely to help push sales further for hybrid device.

Following the LA Expo, it was revealed that Nintendo were also set to launch a new Mini console, the SNES Classic.

The miniature Super Nintendo will have 21 pre-installed games that are sure to prove popular among fans.

The only problem will be tracking down available stock.

While pre orders haven’t begun in the United States, you can expect that demand will likely outweigh supply.

And while this was a huge problem with the NES Classic Mini, it appears that Nintendo may be formulating a plan to solve the problem altogether.

The company are treating the SNES Classic as a form of virtual console and appear ready to start offering more alternatives in the future.

This could include selling classic kizi games at retail, which could also mean a lack of traditional Virtual Console support for the the Nintendo Switch.

Answering the question on if Nintendo could start launching games via retail rather than just via a virtual console, Nintendo’s Satoshi Yamato told a recent shareholder Q&A: “We have been thinking about a lot of different ways to make use of Virtual Console titles, and not just Game Boy Advance titles.
