My Journey to Tech World
Entering this tech world wasn't easy ,Beside being a women pursuing this field is just like being in a battle alone . Everywhere ,everytime what we hear and see is women are not encouraged are are told -"you don't belong to tech " .
Being lucky my parents were supportive ,But in reality I had to face this alone as this is our fight , a fight which every women have to face !
Ignoring all people who demotivated me , asked my mom to change my career ,asked me to cook at home ,I finally received my first laptop from my father to encourage me for my new journey.
Talking about my journey , I am a first year student pursuing Computer Science in Artificial Intelligence . After passing many stepping stones in my journey I finally landed into this tech world , but still wasn't accepted !
With this my first semester started , I started learning programming on my own from online resources, websites, and much more material ! Though I was motivating myself , ignoring everyone but still environment had a huge effect on my mindset , I had no more confidence , I wanted to give up at times , I used to feel demotivated and sometimes depressed as well ! That was the time when I started watching women from 3 tier college to MNC'S , becoming founder and co-founder , watched thousands of women becoming a shining star ,I woke up !
Studied day and night , started gaining my confidence , started watching this world from another angle which lead me to a next level ! And one night a great opportunity knocked my doors , and with great confidence I accepted the challenge !
Studying azure , received my first ever prize from Microsoft . that was the first step which I took in tech world , It gave me immense happiness , and then I started studying even harder ! taking these small steps I reached at a point where I applied to Women Engineers '22 by talentsprint and supported by Google , scrolling their website I saw they accept 250 women out of 55,000+applications after 4 hard rounds. yeah you heard me right its around 0.45 percent top cream ! With a lot of nervousness I got mail for my first round . With this slowly and steadily I cleared all my four rounds . and yes when I received my selection mail I was on cloud nine !! They gave me 100% scholarship and 1 Lakh cash scholarship . As a first year student being in my first semester it was really a very big achievement for me !
That was the day I realized nothing is a piece of cake , we need to overcome a lot of stepping stones , challenges , failures . We have to awaken the beast inside us ! It's game on ! best of luck !!
