My Goals and Objectives for the HNG8 Internship
A brief description of me
Hi,👋 my name is Augustine Ugbaja, and i am at the moment a Front-End web developer. Although I read Civil Engineering during my undergraduate studies, I've always had this penchant to know how a computer accomplishes most of its tasks, which ultimately led me into the world of learning programming.
My Journey 🚀
The first programming language i picked up in 2019 was the java language. As at the time i just wanted to learn how to program; i played around with the various syntax in java and i fell in love with programming the more. Later on, i came across a website on the internet and i was so fascinated by the functionalities of this website that i needed to learn how to build cool stuff such as this.
This eventually led me into learning Html, CSS and Javascript. Html is a markup language which will enable me build the structure of the website, CSS (Cascading Style Sheet) will ensure that the site looks stylish and attractive while Javascript is a programming language that will breathe in various amazing functionalities into the website.
I built so many projects and at the same time improved my overall knowledge in Tech; safe to say that i felt at ease with myself. Programming became a turning point in my Life.
Goals for the HNG8 Internship 📝
One of the contributing factors to my growth in software development has been the amazing people I've come to meet along the way especially with the dev community on twitter.
I came across a post on the HNG8 Internship on twitter and then registered to be enrolled for the program. My main objective for this program is to gain immense knowledge on my front-end track; this will enable me grab a better understanding of the software architecture involved and development.
Furthermore, i hope that at the end of the 8 weeks intense training and task solving, i would have met a lot of amazing individuals who i can learn from and share in their knowledge as well. This will in turn boost my self confidence and mould me into becoming a better developer.
