If Google Glass Project was not shelved, what kind of apps developers would have built?

Google Glass was a promising project. I thought of building an app which could show the name, age, etc. (publicly available information) of a particular person just by looking at them. 😀

Unfortunately, Google shut it down. What were the possibilities?
