Social media engagement measures the public shares, likes, retweets, views, subscribers, followers, photos, stories, videos, clicks, and comments for an online business' social media efforts. Engagement has historically been a common metric for evaluating social media performance but doesn't necessarily translate to sales.

key engagement indicators (Kei)

  • Number of posts, reach, and top performing post
  • Net followers and subscribers gain or loss
  • Number of likes, comments, retweets, and shares
  • Number of page/profile, story views, video views, photo views
  • Number of clicks on post links and in bio
  • Average Minute Audience (AMA)
  • Number of leads generated and conversions
  • Total revenue generated and spent (on social ads)
  • Social share of voice and sentiment
