My HNG Internship: Greatness is imminent

Introduction

Hi, I'm Kagiri - an Android developer. I was looking for a platform to practice Android development both extensively and intensively. It was then that I saw a retweet about NHG internship from a friend. I looked into it and decided to join the internship. That is why I am writing to you today friends.

If you are reading this and feel like you need to bridge your theoretical knowledge to practical problem solving, please consider looking into the zuri internship program here

The following are my goals for this training

  1. I want to cultivate my problem-solving skills.
  2. To learn how to work and collaborate in a development team.
  3. Learn how to handle myself professionally in the tech space.
  4. Network and mingle with like minded persons.

Materials

For those of you that want to get into programming, I have compiled some resources that I think would be very helpful to get you started.

  1. Figma - Figma is a user interface and graphics design tool. From designing mobile applications UI, website wire-frames, prototyping, Figma has got you covered.

  2. Git - This is a source control software that tracks changes in a single or a set of files. It is a really great collaborative tool for programmers and streamlines work development.

  3. HTML - This is for when you want to get your hands a bit dirty and start creating webpages. HTML is a shorthand for HyperText Markup Language.

  4. Kotlin (The good stuff) - This is great cross-platform and general purpose programming language created by JetBrains. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Conclusion

Thank you for the read and please do stay tuned as there's more to come.
