Are you using Typescript for backend?

Hi, I'm starting to enjoy Typescript and I was thinking about using it for website backend as a replacement for PHP. I'm not dissing PHP at all, I quite like it, but I think one of the benefits of node.js is the simplicity of creating a local environment and just start coding instead of configuring Vagrant or Xampp.

My question is, are you using Typescript for backend work? If so, which framework do you consider the best, the easiest and the most joyfull? :D
