"Admin Panel" vs "Backend"

Can I suggest using the term "Admin panel" for anything related to an interface that provides control to any administrator of a site.

In contrast I'd suggest using the term "Backend" to describe code that is written on the server side of an application.

Mostly this goes for clients and non-tech people.

I see a lot of people using the term "Backend" to refer to the admin panels of their sites and to be honest is very confusing since your "Backend" also has "Front end" of course. So when the developer is telling you - "Hey yeah that is the front end of the admin panel that needs to be updated" is confusing, but those are the right terms, let's come to standards for better communication :)

Just a thought.
