Brennen Awana

Born in Hawaii, surfed all the way to NYC in 2013 and am setting myself up for a new career in web development. I recently graduated from Flatiron School and am working on building projects, networking, practicing my craft and landing my first job. My previous work experience includes nuclear submarine electronics/mechanics, and power plant emissions monitoring systems technician (I know it's a mouthful).

I enjoy working with other developers and helping their visions and ideas become realities. I'm currently contributing to an open source project called Spree, an e-commerce solution for Ruby on Rails, and collaborating with another developer on a mystery-solving game, sort of like a choose your own adventure meets solving puzzles.

My wife and I live in the East Village in Lower Manhattan and are pretty happy to be here!
