Portfolio Ideas - An open-source repository for inspiration

Exactly. 😅 Great question, Andrea Scotto Di Minico. I'll go with Kent C. Dodds portfolio for these reasons.

1. Simplistic. The overall look and feel of the website is amazing, the images, colors, font hierarchy, spacing, everything is just perfect in terms of the UI/UX.

2. Subtle Animations. The animations on this website are great. Not too distracting, not equally dull. It's a fine balance.

3. Easy to navigate. There is a lot of content on this website, but you won't notice it because each topic or focus area has been divided into different pages, while the homepage acts as a summary of all the different pages. This is a great idea because visitors with different areas of interest can easily navigate to the section of interest to them.

4. Introduction video. It has never occurred to me before, but I think that is an ingenious idea for passing any kind of message or sharing a passion. It's very entertaining, almost feels like watching a movie.

Finally, I believe this is a great example of what a portfolio should look like. It clearly captures his background, profession, passion, skills, and hobbies, and in a professional way. My favorite on the list. 🥇

Well, Kent C. Dodds is Kent C. Dodds, and to be honest I had in mind to rebuild my website frontendbyte.com! with Remix and try to implement all the nice touches seen on the Kent C. Dodds website; but before rebuilding the website I need to write more content and blog posts.

For all the reasons you mentioned, Kent C. website is so well balanced and excellent, is challenging to think about how to make it even better or introduce additional ideas.

To the list, I would add the website of bruno-simon.com which is also fabulous.

I feel ya. It's kinda funny we have the same plans. 😅 Though I'll stick with React or maybe use NextJS.

As for Bruno Simon's portfolio, it's not just fabulous but mind-blowing. 🤣

Kent Dodds, It has the best user experience. Its clean and fast.
