About Me
I am originally from Mena, AR, and have always had a love for computers and creating things with code.
I have a passion for and am a huge advocate for free and open-source software, and I use GNU/Linux, BSD, and wide arrays of other free software projects every day.
I create free and open-source software of my own, a good deal of it focused on the web and privacy.
I run a few federated services:
neighborli, a federated social network: https://neighborli.xyz
civitaz, a public xmpp server: https://civitaz.xyz
I also have a fascination with cryptocurrencies and enjoy mining, trading, and simply reading on the latest news and tech in the crypto/blockchain space.
With privacy being such a big issue on the mobile front, I am also a huge advocate of privacy-preserving free software mobile operating systems, such as those found on Linux Phones and de-googled AOSP distributions (like LineageOS).
I run a Linux Phone news site talking about this, if you want to learn more:
https://fossphones.com
Other than tech, I enjoy reading, spending time out in nature, and writing.
